Laser firm beams after $4.5m funding

Dublin-based Eblana Photonics, which provides laser products for broadband communications, has secured a $4.5m investment.

The latest investment was led by London-based venture capital firm TLCom Capital Partners, and brings the total funds raised by Eblana Photonics to $7.75m.

Existing investors ACT Venture Capital and Enterprise Ireland also participated in the financing.

Eblana was set up to commercialise technology developed in a photonics research programme involving Trinity College Dublin, the Irish National Microelectronics Research Centre and Enterprise Ireland
