Eblana Photonics announces new pricing initiative for its single-mode, isolator-free 1310 nm DM Lasers

Dublin Ireland, February 28th, 2006 - Eblana Photonics Ltd, a leading manufacturer of PON oriented single wavelength laser components, today announced a further pricing initiative for its EP1310 DM laser series, setting the base price of a high-performance, 1310nm DFB laser replacement laser diode at only $9.95. This pricing will apply to sustained high volume orders of TO56 based product versions, thus addressing the deployment needs of growing Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) GEPON PX20 and GPON markets. Eblana's single mode DM lasers incorporate its unique NFI (nullified feedback influence) technology. NFI provides for superb RIN15OMA noise performance which is in excess of the IEEE 802.3 ah standard requirements without the need for an optical isolator. More

Eblana Photonics releases LX4 Laser Diode product series

Dublin, February 7th 2006 - Eblana Photonics Ltd. (Dublin, Ireland) has announced the availability of a series of high-performance, single-wavelength Laser Diodes for IEEE 802.3ae-2002 10GBASE-LX4 applications. This product series builds on Eblana's existing isolator-free, single-wavelength Laser Diode products which are being deployed extensively by PON equipment manufacturers in preference to traditional DFB based transceivers whose manufacturing costs are prohibitive for mass market applications. More

Eblana Photonics announces feedback insensitive single mode laser diodes for mass market applications and offers these products at less than the price of a standard optical isolator to enable lower price floors for mass-market broadband optical transceivers.

Dublin, March 3rd 2005 - Eblana Photonics Ltd (Dublin, Ireland) has today announced availability of a breakthrough series of low priced uncooled single mode laser products designed for mass market applications. This product series exploits Eblana's NFI (Nullified Feedback Influence) Technology to eliminate the need for optical isolators when single mode lasers are employed in optical communications. NFI technology is a laser chip based approach which is an integrated extension to its existing PGB (Photon Bandgap) laser technology platform. More
